The candidate is required to carefully review the

before deciding on the programmes/courses they wish to apply for admission. In their own interest, candidates may seek further guidance in the selection of courses from the admission committee of the college.

Eligibility:
  1. The candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary Part-II (10+2) Examination and should have appeared in CUET (UG) 2025 for the required domain subjects. Candidates who did not apply for CUET (UG) 2025 shall be considered during the Non-CUET Seat Allocation (Round-03) and the Late Entry Mop-Up Round for admission against the leftover seats.
  2. Seat allocation to all Undergraduate Programmes under CUET preferences will be based solely on the scores obtained in CUET (UG) 2025, while allocation under Non-CUET preferences will be based on the merit of the Class 12th examination.
How to Apply:

The candidates (CUET and Non-CUET) are advised to follow the step-by-step procedure outlined below to complete the admission process:

Step-1: Registration:

  • For applying to any Programme at GCW M.A Road Srinagar, CUET as well as Non-CUET Candidates must register on the Centralized Admission Portal @ https://jkadmission.samarth.ac.in .
  • Profile Creation: Successfully registered CUET/Non-CUET candidates are required to create their profile by providing the basic details, i.e. Name, parentage, Address, etc. and fill in the correct academic details of 10th and 10+2.
  • Eligibility Check: Candidates should read the detailed eligibility guidelines of Cluster University Srinagar for the offered Programmes @ https://cuet.nta.nic.in/universities/. The eligibility of a particular program is determined by the subjects at the 10+2 level and the CUET paper in which an aspirant has to appear in CUET-2025. However, for candidates applying under the NON-CUET mode, eligibility is determined solely based on the subjects studied at the 10+2 level.
  • Document Uploading: Candidates are required to upload the necessary documents as per the checklist

Step-2 Choice/Preference Filling:

  • The candidate both CUET/Non-CUET are required to select Govt. College for Women M.A Road Srinagar from the College list and choose various Major Programmes of his/her choice in order of under CUET & Non-CUET preference Options .
  • The system will display all the Choices (Major subjects) for which the candidate is eligible to apply for admission. However, if a particular Major program is not displayed, it means the candidate does not possess the requisite eligibility for the course, which can be cross-checked with the eligibility rules for the program at Eligibility check Step above.
  • After selecting the various Major Programmes of choices, candidates can arrange the preference according to their best choices.
  • Selection to a Programme shall be based purely on merit and the preferences set by the applicant. Applicants are advised to choose multiple Colleges/Programmes and arrange them in order of preference to improve their chances of admission in their desired Programme/College.
  • If a CUET candidate is unable to find a suitable subject under the CUET preference options due to not appearing in relevant domain paper or any other reason, they can select their preference under the Non-CUET preference option.

Step-3 Application Submission:

  • Candidates after carefully reading all the options must finally submit (online) the application form.

Step-4 Merit List cum Seat Allocation:

  • Wait for the CUET seat allocation lists (Round 01 & Round 02 ) and the NON-CUET seat allocation list (Round 03), which shall be notified @ https://jkadmission.samarth.ac.in as per the scheduled dates.
  • Shortlisted candidates in the seat allocation rounds must either accept the offered seat by paying the full admission fee(Online) to lock the admission, or apply for a seat upgrade (available only in Round-01) by paying a refundable amount of ₹2000.00 and wait for the Round 02 selection list
  • Candidates who have not been selected in any of the seat allocation rounds shall be eligible to participate in the Mop-up Round, which will be conducted by the colleges for the leftover seats. However, candidates will be required to visit the college in person to check the availability of seats and confirm admission on the spot.

Step-5 Completion of Admission Formalities and Opting for Other Subjects:

  • Visit Govt. College for Women M.A Road in person for counselling, physical document verification and to choose other related subjects alongside your selected Major, Present your documents as per the Required Document Checklist before the admission committee for verification.
  • The Candidate is required to select six (06) papers/Courses, which include the Major (already selected in Seat Allocation Round), Minor, Multi-Disciplinary (MD), Skill Enhancement Course (SEC), Ability Enhancement Course (AEC), and Value-Added Courses (VAC). These will be applicable across various semesters as per the Course basket

Step-6 Stay Informed:

  • Regularly visit the Colleges official website @ https://www.gcwmaroad.edu.in/admissions.php , to verify your assigned subjects, class roll number allotted, commencement of classwork, timetable, and other important dates, announcements, and any additional instructions.

Q-1: How do I register for the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) at Govt. College for Women, M.A Road Srinagar?

To apply for any programme, both CUET and Non-CUET candidates must register at the centeralized admission portal @ https://jkadmission.samarth.ac.in and complete the requisite steps.

If a particular programme is not displayed, it means the candidate does not meet the requisite eligibility for the course, which can be cross-checked with the eligibility rules. In this case, the candidate needs to apply for Non-CUET-based preferences for their desired subject.

Q-4: I have appeared in CUET-2025 but cannot find a suitable subject among the CUET preference options for GCW M.A Road Srinagar?

If a particular programme (Subject) is not listed, it means the candidate does not meet the requisite eligibility for the course. The probable reason could be not appearing in the CUET-25 General Test, which is mandatory for all courses from CUS. Therefore, you need to apply for Non-CUET-based preferences for your desired subject.

Yes, candidates can arrange their preferences according to their best choices even after submission of the application.

Q-7: How do I select my preferred programme(s) during the application process?

Q-8: I cannot find my name in the first round of seat allocation. What should I do?

Wait for the next merit list/seat allocation round and adjust (if needed) the order of your preferred subjects based on the cutoff of the previous round for your most preferred subject.
